As I searched for examples of good design, I came upon this website dedicated to designing for books. They go over designing a concept and following through, book covers, and especially what not to do.

We were asked to find examples of good and bad design. These, unfortunately, are my examples of bad design. Some covers have nothing to do with their subject, like the space-themed Wizard of Oz, and other have too much going on or too many font choices.
