Which do you feel helped your understand of the topic the best?

Business Card / Business Sticker
Would you respect a business that had this sticker?
Would you not go to a store that didn't have this sticker (if they were to become popular)?
Would you keep the business card?

App / Taxi Ad
Did you find the app easy to use?
Would you take the time to scan the QR code and go through the app?
Would the taxi add offend you?
Would it make you look twice?

Wall annotation / Boxes
Do you find the wall annotation distracting from the original poster? Or does it add to it?
Did the boxes offend you? Were you unsure of their purpose?
Did it help you visualize the issues at hand?

Type 2: Journal 1, TM Research Archive

When looking through the archive I found a lot of work that I really appreciated and saved for future inspiration. One of my favorites was the 1964 Issue 11 cover by Felix Berman with photography by Roger Humbert. The clean lines, simplicity and timelessness resonate with me. I also appreciate the quiet energy and interest that the black and white abstract photography brings to the piece. For the rest of the work, I chose pieces to post here based on their use of graphic imagery, color, style or photography to express hierarchy.

Charlie Parker: Final Post

For this Typographic Systems project I researched Charlie Parker, his life, bebop music and semiotic signaling systems in order to create an energetic, lively and active descriptive experience of Parker's life and the music he created. I created imagery with static and pixelation to represent movement and bright, electric colors to convey energy. The viewer moves around the space in a zig zag, going from one segment to another in an dynamic and energizing way.
